Amazons “WE KNOW BEST” policy completely became derailed leaving 500 hundred million dollars wasted, 2 games unfinished and New world in shambles. Lumberyard was already known to be notoriously difficult to use, not mention, ridiculously time consuming.ĭeemed the “Boogeyman” by devs, Lumberyard was not only NOT user friendly but outdated.
AGS had the bright idea to retool lumberyard and retro fit it with their new upcoming games. Lumberyard was never meant for multiplayer gaming. These disastrous events was caused by one single Culprit LUMBERYARD. AGS has tried to built 3 games so far, in which 2 has failed to make it to launch and our very own New World with a foot in the grave. However, the most important decision in technology for NW and Amazons gaming legacy was made by an Amazon lifer who knew nothing about the industry. We all know if you have a weak foundation the house will crumble and that is exactly what has happened to New World.Īmazon threw 500 million dollars at the gaming Industry hoping to release 3 staple games to make them a player in the gaming industry. It is literally the foundation that makes the entire game operate.
Lumberyard is the engine which New World was built around. Probably the whole 2 people, should research LUMBERYARD. I can’t say it enough everyone who reads this post. It's more than a number.Devs why aren’t you telling the player base the real reason why New World is experiencing all these problems.
